2.5 oil filter update

Getting the best performance from your Isuzu, the in's and out's

If its foe a 4jg2 then it also fits all belt drive 4jb1 engines. Looking at your pictures your filter housing is the same as the 4jg2 so its worth a crack. If this is so the ryco z402 should cross reference as well. The problem is that these diesels are so rare in USA that noone knows anything about them. Makes getting parts fun

Having one of these UK motors here in the states is a real challange when it comes to getting parts, that's fur sure, never thought the oil filter would be this much trouble tho, If Isuzu just used one oil filter for all their small diesels it wouldn't be any problem, but that would of been way to easy I guess.

Just ordered a Baldwin oil filter # BD 7095, 26 X 1.5 threads, 3 11/16" diameter and 7 1/2"s long which is a plus, cause it holds more oil, it fits a Thermo-king reefer unit, I can get it here in the states and this is the best part $13.08 apiece, woopiee, thanks Pig75 for putting me on to the Baldwin site.

Got my new filter today and it looks like a go, I'm going to change my oil later on after it warms up a bit outside, the new one is taller, which is OK it justs holds more oil, that's a plus, its used on the diesel motors that run the refigerated units on over the road trailers. I can get them thru a wholesaler for $13.08 apiece, another home run, what a deal, will let you know how it fits later today but just looking at it I don't see where there should be any problems.

it just looks big in the photo, it went right on its a little closer to the exhaust, but its going to be OK, its the same diameter as the old one, just a little taller by about 2 1/2 inches, the motor takes about 1/2 quart more oil now, now that I know it works ok I'm going to order a case, their cheap enough and that way I'll know I have some to last me awhile, thanks again Mr Pig75 for putting me on to Baldwin.

Sorry to bring this back to life, but you should check out the off-highway equipment section of the wix site for diesel stuff.

Yeah, I found out later that WIX also makes a filter to fit my odd ball 2.5, now after months of looking for a filter I could purchace here in the states and finding one I go ahead and put on a remote that uses a very common Ford filter

what remote oil filter adapter are you using? People wanting a remote filter might be able to convert your oil filter mount, and then the adapter.

Its a universal remote oil filter mount I got on line from JEGS, most of your filter housings say on the 2.8 or 3.0's are M20.X1.5 so its easy for any of you to get a remote the fits yours, mine was M26X1.5 and not available anywhere but I lucked out and found one that was 1" X 12 US thread which is very close to M26X1.5 and a airforce friend retapped it to fit my housing, woopee!
