Amigo and MU

Postby Powertruck31T » Fri Jun 13, 2014 9:25 am

Hey guys been along time since I have been on here had all sorts of problems with my old account so had to create a new one.
What I was wanting to know is I see the American version of the MU badged Amigo runs a steering stabalizer bar where as the MU doesn't have this. Is it possible to change the steering arm that has the mount for this so it will fit into a MU?
If anyone out there can help would be much appreciated

cheers

On my UBS55 Bighorn I changed the centre arm several years ago and the new arm from BNT had the mount for one end of the stabiliser. Cant remember if this was also the case when I did a friends bar. Some stabiliser kits have clamp on brackets supplied

Hi Geeves thanks I might call BNT on Monday. With the Amigo running the same chassis I wonder where they mount the stabalizer bar too

Powretruck31T,

Let me refer you to: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1197 about 3/4 of the way down. Shows a "new steering stabilizer in". Shows a"stabilizer" attached from the center link to probably the frame at the idle arm mount. In the US, the center link would be the equivalent of a MOOG DS1168 for left hand drive, not sure model number for right hand drive. Hope this helps,
