v6 Auto swap to 5spd

Hi every1, got a cheap azz Bighorn 5 door 6vd1 with a crappy 4l30e tranny thats sluggish azz shyte and crappy azz up hills.
I'd hate to think of towing with it, and its sucking the fuel like theres a hole in the tank.

Wanting to swap out for a MAU5 4x4 seems to be very few around these days.
Anyway will a gbox off the 4gj1 or 2 fit or would I need a 6vd1 bell housing to help it fit or adapter plate? again rare to find alone.
Can I use a 2.8 or 3.1 rodeo gbox?
Still have my running SWB with 5spd man behind a 6vd1, and really don't want to take it from something that aint broke.

Bellhousings are different between the v6 and diesel and its intergral to the box. You need a v6 box. Probably not worth the effort
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
