4jx1 missing

Hi there my 4jx1 is starting up after bout 4 seconds of winding and then in 3 to 8 seconds it sounds like its flooding or droping a cylinder it has had all the recall work done ie.. injectors orings sleaves has had new oil and diesel filters could it be timing or somthing similar or faulty senser i am due to do a cam belt soon or though i have heard that some of these engines dont have a belt they run on cogs any help would be great thanks hayden.

Sounds like a fuel problem, sucking air into your system somewhere I think.

Get some one to inspect the injector seals as this was a recall on this motor. I would not drive it to far as if this is the case diesel will be getting into your sump.

Yeah the seals got done bout 1 year ago with injectors etc.. the engine oil level hasnt changed and it did have a little miss on start up before the recall work was done once hot it runs and starts fine. i am wondering if the inlet manifold is warped as i have a belt like squeal when the truck is cold i have tightend the belts and used belt grip as well but it still dose it

might need to visit a specialist with the fault code machine. These motors are not for the home handyman sorry
