inlet manifold gasket

inlet manifold gasket

Is the inlet manifold gasket on the 2.8 and the 3.1 motors the same i have rang around diffrent places and they cant find a gasket for the 4jg2-t motor so wondering if the 2.8 gasket will fit.

Good question. Looking at the manuals the 4jb1 shows a gasket but the 4jg2 does not. Maybe its sealant but this would be unusual
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

I have recently had the intake off my 4JG2-T. It has a gasket that is readily available in New Zealand.
I got mine through BNT. Not sure if this company is in Australia though.
From memory the gasket was actually made by a New Zealand company. I'll have a bit of a scratch around at home later and see if I can find any more info on it.

when I done the head on the my 4jb1-t the gasket kit i got was for a 4JG2-T and so all the gaskets i have fitted are right including inlet manifold gasket.

The both motors look the same except for the turbos and 3.1 has the hose from the rocker cover to the dip stick i will order a 2.8 gasket then thanks for the help guys cheers stardog
