I'm thinking of getting a roof rack and basket just to put light stuff on there also im going to start looking for bare reconditioned a 4jg2t engine again to put back in the mu when I have the funds got rego and insurance coming up next month.
The 2.8 don't have the grunt of a 3.1 or is just my imagination.

Geeves I have turned up fuel delivery it has 3" exhaust system intercooler and still don't have the guts of a 3.1 dam I miss my 3.1 engine there is something about a 3.1 a 2.8 can not do.

Thanks for the offer Ben but I already have 1 and it would cost a fortune to get it down to Sydney if I won lotto I would buy a DMAX but I can dream on.
But been looking around for wizard but not much luck lately but im in no rush at the moment.
I am installing electric brakes on my trailer this week and electric brake controller in the mu I have Thursday - Saturday off next week so I will do it then.
I reckon its great working at a Jewish school I get all of their holidays holy days off and still get paid for them part of my package being employed here.

I will have to talk to the minister of funds and ask her how much I can spend when she gets home from her sisters place today.
She says I spend more time with the mu than her now at least the mu don't have a Irish temper and doesn't winge about me having a smoke or a VB or 2 ha-ha.

steve i took a few pics on Mrs flash new phone before i towed it in. But i think they got deleted by accident.
Its at a mechanic now & after a quick diagnois taking it off the car trailer he suggested that maybe the alloy plate between the block & timimg assembly mite be what causing the leak, as i explained that i had replaced the cam & crank seal with no success..

here`s a pic of what the plate looks like on the original motor.
We have not removed this plate off the rebuilt engine.
I have no idea whats going to cost to fix this oil leak.

Also if anyone needs snapshots of a 4jg2 engine, ive got 1 on stand 50% disassembled

On a positive note . We finnally got a dual battery setup in the MUx.
We purchased the car in june with this option...
Isuzu got tjm to install it.
We need it to run our beloved 60l evakool fridge/freezer

Geeves you can sticky this post elsewhere if it helps.

Hi Ben
The wizard looks small to the MU-X in the photo out side the kakadu sign on the trailer if it is leaking oil out of the area they think it is I think it might be engine out to fix it.
I would be getting written report of mechanic and sending it to CDA and asking for compensation off them they have a top rep for building engines but something has gone wrong on this one.
Usually its water that leaks from this gasket is above the water pump not oil.
Still a good looking wizard on that trailer but would still like photos of interior and engine bay and if air con working.
Cheers steve

Does the sump have to come off to remove the alloy plate?

That plate goes over the crank as well. I had a leak in mine due to a bad oring and it was done in place but easier out esspecially if someone else is paying
