Nice truck, my sony is currently doing the work occasionally as well, have changed head units to test, I think it might be the aerial cable, will plug it back in tomorrow as see what happens

Cool truck, nice to another bighorn on here, I found with the stereo wires and connections they get loose with loads of 4x4 use, have lost mine sometimes with a big bang.

Found my problem, the stacker plug is loose, so on bumps it would move and shut down the stereo. I have temp taped it to the stereo loom so that it works in the mean time. It will prob stay that way till I replace the whole thing ...

Yeah I'm pretty happy with the bar the midle section and mounts are all 5mm plate with lots of gusetts and the wings are 3mm plate with a heap of gusetts (I have seen to many ARB bars all bent up from smallish nudges. The top hoops are from my old factory bull bar, before I added them it looked like the bow to a boat and my family where calling it the Titanic

I am looking for a LSD as that would be good, but first I am replacing the pasangers side CV which went bang on Saturday 5min into a trip and another Tie rod. For the Tie rod I am thinking of making some extra heavy duty ones from a surplus crow bar I have

I have also added a high lift which is mounted on the side of the roof basket and I have found is excelent roof protection. When the CV went the truck slid of the side of the track and endeed up with the drivers side wheel in the air and the truck being held in place by the high lift up against a tree.

To strengthen my tie rods i have found a bit of old water pipe the galvanised stuff cut exactly to the right length
And slipped over the tierod shaft seems to work wonders. Its a bit tricky to get it tight so it dosnt rattle...But thats what tape is for lol... ..Have not bent one since i have done it..
I do how ever bend the idler arm.

The isuzu tie rods are pitiful though, they should have the thread on the ball end going into a adjustable sleeve.
Not the skinny threaded adjuster rod.

I have seen some pictures of the heavy duty ones and they are basicly a section of hex rod looks to be 30mm or abit bigger with male threaded ball joints the only two sticking points I can see is if the ball joints have an odd ball tapper or size which I can'rt match and finding a matching revers tap for tapping one end. If I have it all measured up right so that there is a minimal amount of the ball joint thread exposed they should be a heap stronger

Out of all the steering parts which is easiest to replace? Which one do you want to bend first?
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them

True geeves but the cost and the actual damage on the track that makes the rig undriveable, at that moment verses a bent idler that can be straightend is better... Just My opinion. the spare idler for wofs the dicky one for 4x4 ing ...
