My New Pick-up

Postby LilRed » Mon Sep 20, 2010 2:38 pm

Just bought this little guy last Friday. 1991 Pick-up. SWB. All original everything. Even brake shoes! Only has scratches & dents. Original steelies & tires. Sitting in garage. 91,000 original miles. Purrs like a kitten. $1750 cash. Has one issue though: under the carb & attached to the fuel pump, there seems to be a rubber hose vent that spews an oil/gas-smelling mixture. Anyone know what it could be? Something routine?

thank you, Blondini. Looking forward to learning her every in & out. I'm vacillating between keeping her stock steelies (and affordable rubber) or getting some bigger tires, giving her some hmmph!

The pipe sounds like a breather although this should connect bettween the engine and the manifold. What size is it and any chance of a pic.

Not sure about the shotgun picture. I thought that was only done in the film Deer Hunter. Might cause some of our members to take up hydroponic gardening

I will try & get a shot of it. My DSLR camera may not fit in there - will have to borrow a point & shoot. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Peace all!

Kick flip? that would be reasonably hard with a pretty high failure rate in a truck I would think
