Ah.
Just checked Exedys specs. MU and Bighorn clutch plates are 240mm
Mines (the old one and flyhweel area) is 250mm.
Anyone know what Isuzu uses a 250mm clutch? Cover bolt pattern and dowels are the same.

Oh the joys of working on vehicles others have butchered before you.... I guess the silver lining is the clutch will handle more abuse/grunt

Supplier won't take back the clutch. New one to suit my application $471++
Ouch.
So, I'm now looking for a 4JBIT flywheel. or I might get the 4jb2t one machined to suit. Take 4mm off the rim and it should be sweet

Never mind the freight, I can sort that. Thing is no wreckers open to get one from and I am trying to get the engine back in before end of next weekend.
If you have a good flywheel I'm keen.

Turned up a day late (thanks NZC) got is machined yesterday and fitted today. Engine is back in and no more turning over by hand!
Whole bunch of smallish stuff to do and then I get to crank it over.
Might start a sweepstakes on what my next issue will be! Proceeds will go towards a new MU for when I set this one on fire if it fails to go!

Ok more progress, man this is slow!
Robs flywheel worked out awesome, met him the other day as he passed through town.

Got lots bolted on today (being away and having family stay halted progress)
Next weekend I'm hoping to get the exhaust to fit. Need to make a new section to join 2.5" down pipe and the rest of the pipe.
After that I can put the intercooler on and then its just a few things to do before I'll crank it.

Where do you get heater hoses from? I need the curly one. Holden say it is now NLA
Also what colour should diesel be? Yellowish? Pumped some through the filter today and it looks yellow, I thought diesel was pretty clear?

Cool, it looks all ok, except it's yellow, like urine
Not cloudy or with anything in it
I was just worried about it sitting so long

Go see someone else at your holden dealer. Ask for part number G8943750410 If they still as useless as tits on a bull then pm me and I will get you one from here. The guys at blackwells are bloody great at getting parts. shame there prices are sky high tho.

The hose cost me 34.02 inc GST.
