RE: turnturn
I can do a write-up. Two write-ups will give a wider variety of ideas for people to look at, as Wayne said, we both have some good ideas.
I just have to get my system working at a stage where filtering is not a problem (may now be solved, but need to do a longer test run).
RE: wbski
As for lubricating properties of WVO, i will see when my injector-pump claps-out, it hasn't so far (and i have been harsh on it, many times i have starved it of fuel, letting air get in, it still works), so i would agree that WVO is doing a good job so far. [on TV i saw a program where someone swapped their engine lubricant oil for Canola oil on a motorbike, & it worked fine]
I can think of one disadvantage of my current system/setup; winter time- when the rear tank get's very cold there will be no hot oil going back into the tank to warm it up. I have got an in-line heater in the rear before the pump, but won't fix the problem if the oil gell's in the tank. however that's a problem for winter
RE: geeves
Also, wouldn't the return line would also be useful for purging the system free of air?
I run my injector pump at around 40C, and not had problems. (electrically controlled + help from heat exchanger).
So far:
I have now looked into the same filter as Wayne has (2 mic) & discovered that it would be difficult getting it to New Zealand (i.e. shipping cost is very high) + replacement filters are not shipped to NZ from 'fleet filter', so would be just as expensive inc shipping as current filters that i can get.
So i now installed a fourth filter into the front. I have decided to place a standard engine filter back in line with the part that loops around in the engine bay, as i was too much of a wimp to trust the large 10-micron filter (even though it was working fine for a 40km test run).

I got the 4th filter, standard engine diesel filter, for around $23, $10 better than a ryco filter. [Does anyone know where i can get these 'OE' branded filters or similar generic filters cheaper?]
With the new filter in place, i did a 280km journey today with no problems at all (which was surprising! no air got in either), preformed just like it was on diesel (except for the BBQ smell
). - used about 36L of vege oil (that is carrying an extra 400kg of junk & people too).
I want to finish off the 90L tank of WVO off to see when the filters block up, as previously (with very old set-up) using a standard engine filter i was only able to get about 400km max out of it, usually by 300km it would be blocked.
I have also purchased a new air filter ($39 later), looks nice and bright yellow, compared to old grey dirty filter.
And i have installed the boost gauge,

currently running about 10-12 psi. think i can't get much more out of it unless i replace the muffler. Would also like the boost to kick in at lower rpm, but think it would be costly to do that.
