Well the time has come....
Went to Woodhill a couple of weeks ago. (check video's under raypritrice on youtube)
- Killed the slave and master cylinder + heaps of gunk in there aswell which made me drive home with no clutch pedal AGAIN!!!
- Stalled going through a bog and filled up with water (3x vac pipes came off as well
) exhaust filled up... only just got going again...fewf.
- Check engine light comes on and off, when its on it runs way better but when its off it smokes like a diesel and misses and back fires so no idea on what has caused that other than when the exhaust filled up maybe the o2 sensor got damaged.
Since returning I have put a new slave and master cylinder in and got the clutch cleaned out and now I can use the clutch pedal.
I then sat down with the other half and we talked about what we are going to do....
A week later (after recovering from the bug that was going around) I cleaned her up and the decision was made to list her on trademe
$1 reserve as is condition (only left the bodylift and suspension in)
auction closed with a top bid of $1350 a little dissapointed as thats how much I paid just for the clutch haha but hey its what its worth. We have only had 1 email from the person who won so I have a slight feeling it might be a dodgy bidder and will fall through but I have been supprised before. He expects to drive it back to Wellington with no WOF now and the check engine light issue makes it use heaps of gas so see what happens.
So for now I think this is the end of an era as I have been given enough funds to purchase a Nissan Safari which was purchased last week as we plan on doing more camping trips / Safari's over the next few years and the wife said I cant modify the Safari for hard out stuff.
Im now looking for a de-regd off road toy where I can roll it and not care haha but still cheap enough to drive the tracks so probably another bighorn or mu see how we go.
