Thought I would start a new thread as my other 1 is regarding finding my oil leaks.
So purchased the bighorn last week. Pretty tidy condition overall but owned by an elderly chap for many years its lacking a bit of power and probably needs a good service/ blowout/ tune.
Its an auto unfortunately, but will satisfy for now.
I have just fitted a boost gauge from the hose above turbo at the intercooler that goes to top of injector pump, I'm getting a solid 10psi through the whole rev range, which is good for standard so I've read, problem is the motor is sooo unresponsive before 2000rpm, real sluggish, what would be the first and next thing to do???
Removing egr system is definitely top of the list, will this help with take off?
I checked blow by, a little pressure coming from oil filler and only the faintest bit of smoke if you look hard.
Appreciate advice to get this thing breathing good again.
Will be doing oil fuel and air filters asap too
