They dont give a lot of trouble but they are rubber and all are quite old. If you can get one new at a good price then I would suggest its the way to go
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
Are you still after the intake hose? If so let me know and I will look through my boxes. I removed mine when I added the intercooler. I think I still have it.
