That's a good test Geeves, I'll have to remember it, I personally think the machanical one's are better but they are harder to feed thru the firewall, I think they are a little more accurete than the electric one's, I can watch my needle go up and down as the thermostat opens and close's, it opens at 180 degrees and closes at 150 degrees, I don't know what that converts to in "C",I have a 180 thermostat in my motor, so I know my machanical temp gauge is rite on the money, That's just my opinion tho, yes I would like to see somemore photos of your work.
I live in my own little world, but its OK they know me here.
